Traqeet

Privacy Policy

Last updated:

Plain-language details of what Traqeet collects, why, and the choices you have.

Draft for legal review. This page describes how Traqeet is designed to work at launch, including features that are not live yet. A lawyer must review it before the app and website go public.

Who we are

Traqeet is a subscription tracker and renewal reminder app and website. It is run by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] (registration number [REGISTRATION NUMBER]), of [ADDRESS]. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean that company, and we are the data controller for the information described here.

Questions about privacy go to [PRIVACY EMAIL]. Our data protection contact is [DATA PROTECTION OFFICER OR CONTACT].

The short version

  • Your data lives on your phone first. Traqeet works without an account, and your subscription list stays on your device unless you choose to sync.
  • We never store your passwords or full card numbers, and we never read your SMS or email inbox.
  • We only send text, voice transcripts or documents to AI when you ask us to.
  • Free users see ads, shown only with your consent where the law requires it. Pro removes ads.
  • You can export your data and delete your account at any time.

Anonymous website statistics (page views, downloads, demo-video plays)Only if you accept analytics on our websiteTo see which pages are useful. See the Cookie Policy

Local reminders are scheduled on your device and do not need our servers. We do not sell your personal data.

How we use it and our legal bases

We use personal data to provide the app you asked for (contract), to keep it secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interests), to meet legal and tax duties (legal obligation), and for optional things like ads personalisation, analytics and marketing emails (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).

We do not make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects by automated means.

AI features

AI mode, voice entry and document reading are optional. When you use them, the text you type, the transcript of your voice, or the document you choose is sent to our servers and to our AI provider so it can be turned into a draft subscription. We send only what is needed for that request, treat it as data and not instructions, and ask you to review the result before it is saved.

Voice recognition may be done by your phone’s own speech service, which is governed by your device maker’s privacy policy. We do not use your content to train AI models. [CONFIRM WITH AI PROVIDER AGREEMENT]

Ads

The free version shows ads through Google AdMob. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first using Google’s consent tool (UMP), and on iPhone we ask for permission to track you. If you say no, you may still see ads, but they will not be personalised using your activity. You can change your choice in the app’s settings or in your device’s advertising settings. Ads never appear on the screens where you add or edit a service, and a Pro subscription removes ads.

AdMob and its partners may collect device identifiers and usage data under their own policies.

Purchases

Pro subscriptions are bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play. They handle your payment, and we never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to confirm which plan you have; it receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase status. See Apple, Google and RevenueCat’s own policies for how they handle that data.

Who we share data with

We use trusted service providers who process data for us under contract:

  • Hosting and database providers, and file storage for documents
  • An email delivery provider for account and support emails
  • An AI provider, only when you use AI features
  • Google (AdMob), Apple, Google Play and RevenueCat, as described above
  • Expo’s push notification service, if you allow notifications
  • A privacy-friendly analytics provider, only if you accept it on the website

We may also disclose data if the law requires it or to protect people’s safety and our rights. If our business is sold or merged, data may transfer to the new owner under this policy. [LIST FINAL PROVIDERS]

  • Account data and synced records are kept while your account is open. After you delete your account we remove them within [NUMBER] days, and from backups within [NUMBER] days.
  • Billing and tax records may be kept for [NUMBER] years where the law requires.
  • Support messages are kept for [NUMBER] months. Server logs are kept for [NUMBER] days.
  • Waitlist emails are kept for [NUMBER] months after launch, or until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and similar laws such as the GDPR, you can:

  • Ask for a copy of your data and export it (in the app: Settings > Export)
  • Correct data that is wrong
  • Delete your data and account
  • Object to or limit certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time
  • Ask for your data in a portable format

To use a right, email [PRIVACY EMAIL]. We may need to check it is you. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) or your local data protection authority.

Children

Traqeet is not directed at children. You must be at least [MINIMUM AGE, for example 13 or 16 depending on country] to create an account or consent to ads. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including outside Nigeria. Where we transfer personal data abroad we rely on safeguards the NDPA and other applicable laws allow, such as contracts with standard protections. [CONFIRM HOSTING REGIONS]

Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, hashed passwords, short-lived sign-in tokens, access controls and rate limiting, and our logs avoid personal content. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and change the “last updated” date. For significant changes we will tell you in the app or by email.
